World Lens is a campaign by Samsung and IOC to engage a younger Olympic audience as part of the official Olympic & Paralympic 2021 app.
Using Augmented Reality, you travel the world to learn about different cultures. You can learn about Swedish Midsommar, Brazilian street art, USA Skateboarding or the Korean finger heart - a total of 8 experiences.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this project, I was responsible for defining the AR experiences based on rough ideas there were for each country. Based on the technology at hand, the main goal was to make the best out of it by giving unique cultural moments attached to each country. Once there was a rough idea for each one, I was responible for designing the whole experience and working closely with the development team to make sure the interaction worked as intended. Handing over to 2D and 3D artists and integrating their assets into the Unity build was also part of the role.
